The City of Nanaimo is asking its residents to pay careful attention to a wide range of announcements being circulated by government authorities, news media and via social media concerning water level restrictions. Most communities across Vancouver Island are currently observing water restrictions, however exact restriction levels may vary between communities in accordance with differences in local water supply.

Nanaimo residents are strongly encouraged to ensure the information they may be hearing or reading is applicable to the City of Nanaimo only and is not related to a neighbouring community.
