City Project Receives Award of Excellence

Reservoir Number One Energy Recovery Recognized by ACEC-BC

Summary

At the Nanaimo Council meeting of June 1st, Carl Miller of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of BC presented the Mayor and Council with an Award of Engineering Excellence in the Energy & Industry Category.

Every year the consulting engineering community comes together to recognize outstanding work done by the member companies in categories defined as Buildings; Municipal & Civil Infrastructure; Transportation & Bridges; Energy & Industry; and Soft Engineering. This year the ACEC-BC Award of Excellence in the Energy & Industry Category was given for the Nanaimo Reservoir No. 1 and Energy Recovery Facility – a Clean Energy Project. The lead consultant for the work was Associated Engineering, supported by other local consultants. The Award consists of a plaque prepared by Haida artist, Bill Reid.
