Celebrating the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage on April 9, 2015

Summary

On Thursday, April 9, 2015, the City of Nanaimo will recognize the best of Nanaimo's culture and heritage with the 2015 Culture & Heritage Awards Ceremony. The ceremony, an evening of recognition and local entertainment, will be held in the Port Theatre at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) to honour the following recipients:

EMERGING CULTURAL LEADER - Amanda Scott

HONOUR IN CULTURE - Arlene Blundell

EXCELLENCE IN CULTURE - Grant Leier & Nixie Barton

HERITAGE BUILDING REHABILITATION (Residential) - McCourt Residence, owned by Andrea Saam-Lawry and Tim Lawry

HERITAGE BUILDING REHABILITATION (Institutional) - St. Paul's Anglican Church, owned by the Anglican Diocese of BC
