Nanaimo Fire responds to fire at 200 block of Terminal Ave

Summary

Nanaimo Fire Rescue responded to multiple reports of a fire in the 200 block of Terminal Ave shortly after 5:00 pm on Monday, April 8. Crews arrived to flames and heavy smoke coming from one of the structures and quickly extinguished the fire.

The fire was contained to one unit with no reported injuries to occupants, staff or responders.

One of the buildings has suffered extensive smoke and water damage. 20 individuals have been displaced. The building operators will be assisting the occupants.
