Star Wars: Dive In Movie & Games

The City of Nanaimo Parks and Recreation department is hosting a Star Wars-themed Dive-in movie in the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre on Saturday, November 18 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This family-friendly event includes the viewing of Star Wars: Rogue One as well as games and prizes for kids.

"We are excited to play a movie that is of interest to many ages. Not only are kids today growing up with the Star Wars franchise, but their parents grew up with it too,” said Michial Seginowich, Recreation Coordinator, “There is also a chance of appearances from Darth Vader, Kylo Ren and some storm troopers. So, as they say in the movies, “Good luck and may the force be with you.””

The movie will take place in the deep end of the main pool with floaty inner-tubes, boats and mats provided. The running mat, slides and wave pool will be operating for everyone’s enjoyment and participants will have the opportunity to compete for prizes in a number of aquatic challenges. Regular admission rates apply.
