Have your say on the future of Linley Valley Park

City working with VIU on public consultation

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is working with Vancouver Island University’s Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Institute (MABRRI) on a public consultation strategy for Linley Valley Park to identify the current use of the park and opportunities to improve recreational use and access while respecting environmentally sensitive areas in the park.

A survey will run from July 19, 2017 to August 12, 2017 and can be completed online. Cards with the survey link will also be mailed to residents that live near the park. A link to the survey can be found in the online version of this news release.

The public is invited to come and provide input on Linley Valley Park at a community workshop from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22 in the Oliver Woods Community Centre. A link to register and for more information can be found on the online version of this news release.
