The GIS group has completed a project featured in an ESRI Canada case study.
2009 Orthophoto Program
The 2009 Orthophoto Program is underway. This program provides high resolution aerial imagery (orthophoto) and surface models of the City and its surroundings using modern remote sensing techniques in order to support the operations of the City and its residents.
Update - Orthophoto acquisition is completed and Processing has begun April 28/09
GPS
The Engineering and Public Works Department uses the latest GPS technology to collect location information about its assets in the field. For further information about GPS, see the Trimble GPS Tutorial.
